The Australian Local Government Women's Association is the peak body representing the interests of Women in Local Government across Australia.
The Association has Branches in all States and the Northern Territory. The Association seeks to assist in furthering women's knowledge, understanding and participation in the function of Local Government.
Membership is open to all interested in supporting and encouraging women's participation in Local Government. ALGWA encourages and supports women to become actively involved in their communities and in the key decision making processes of Local Government.
ALGWA Victoria Membership
To become a member of the Australian Local Government Women's Association Inc Victoria Branch, complete the following form and lodge the application for membership with the Association Secretary.
Membership of the Association is open to all persons interested in Local Government and our membership includes Councillors, Local Government Officer's, former councillors, and intending Local Government candidates.
Membership fees enable the Association to offer networking and mentoring programmes throughout the State and to provide a Study Bursary each year to an employee in Local Government.
