Parliamentary Secretary Maxine McKew together with the Victorian Regional Development Minster Jacinta Allan announced the appointment of Victorian Regional Development Committees.
Former National President and Victorian Branch Vice President, Kaele Way AM has been appointed Deputy Chair, Eastern Metropolitan Region.
This RDA will include the Council areas of Manningham, Boroondarah, Monash, Whitehorse Maroondah and Shire of Yarra Ranges. The new Regional Development Australia network across Australia will replace the Commonwealth Government's Area Consultative Committees and Regional Development Boards. The aim is to align State and territory regional planning and consultative bodies, with RDA committees providing a local voice for regions.
