Photographs of the Bursary Award High Tea; winner announced

The winner of the 2017 ALGWA Bursary Award winner is Michelle Richards from Moorabool Shire. TheAward, currently worth $1,750, is for a woman working in local government and undertaking tertiary studies.
Helen Coleman President of ALGWA Vic said “Michelle has worked in local government for over 5 years and is currently undertaking a Master of Business Administration Course at Federation University Australia.”
“With only 12 women CEO’s out of 79 Council’s in Victoria ALGWA Vic is honoured to support and encourage women who work in local government like Michelle, to reach their full potential in their careers”
Rebecca McKenzie the CEO of Glen Eira Council and President of LGPro was guest speaker at the event and spoke about gender equality in local government.
Rebecca also presented Michelle with her Award at ALGWA Vic’s Bursary function hosted by the City of Melbourne at the Melbourne Town Hall.Photos of the event, kindly taken by Raylene Carr, can be seen below.
